Disallowing images

Postby social_experiment » Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:07 am

Is it possible to disallow images from being shown in posts or limit them in size? I like the smilies but when someone pastes a huge image related to some code / database specifications which could easily be done in text (or something like PasteBin) i skip the topic completely.

The "Upload attachment" option should be used for images of that nature imo

Perhaps you could write a user script or something?

Not really feasible. There may be a legitimate reason the person is uploading an image - and there's no programmatic way to tell what the purpose of the image is.

User education is probably the only fix.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
