The forum has been updated to the latest version of phpBB. Many things were changed under the hood in order to accomplish this. I also went ahead and added some long overdue features while I was digging around in the code. Features that will hopefully make everyone happy and benefit the community. I'll be adding more plugins in the near future. Here's a summary of what's new:

  • I have installed 5 great looking templates. You can select the template you like the most in your control panel. A few of the templates are fixed width and in need of a logo. If anyone wants to step up and improve these let us know.
  • There is now a button for PHP Code. As a result, I think we will start to see a significant drop in the number of members posting code without using tags. This button has been added to all 5 templates.
  • [code=foo] tags have been depreciated. They still work, but the new Geshi system is significantly more advanced. Use [syntax=foo] for syntax highlighting. This gives members the ability to download, hide, select all and expand/contract code with 1 click. Geshi syntax highlighting has also been added to all 5 templates.

You may experience issues with code in older posts not rendering correctly. A possible solution is to edit the post and resubmit it. I researched the existing records in the database and there is not any way to automatically migrate these all to the new Geshi system.

Let us know if you find any issues or bugs. Enjoy!

Great to hear, thanks for the extra work :)
Just one thing, can you replace the logo in the header to the devnet logo? (instead of "support forum")
It might just be in the avalon theme, I'm not sure..

The 'view active topics' link returns no suitable matches.
On purpose?

agree with s.dot post...
- "View active topics" not working,
- PhpDn Logo is missing in "KS_Serious" and "ProSilver Special Edition" templates,
- ... and as has been reported before sometimes system shows serious lags... more than 1 minute in many cases... tested from different computers/networks

Avalon doesn't work in Chrome for me. The others seem to work just fine.

Totally geeking out over the upgrades. Thanks Benjamin for handling this! :drunk:

Whoa! Cool new theme. I'll have to check out the others. Thanks for the update!

Someone needs to turn the logo into a PNG with alpha.

Hope this doesn't offend anyone, but as per Jonah's mention about PNG's...

Full Logo, High Resolution, PNG

Very, very nice! I'm sure we will more than likely use these.

Simplified Logo, High Resolution, PNG + shadowed version

Could not attach the SVG... so, I guess just email me if you want it. (daniel at omniimpact.com)

How can close can you get to the original design of the logo. Not to impose, it's just that the logo was Jason's from way back when and if we are going to change it I'd at least like his input.

EDIT | Almost forgot, that is a sweet rendering dude. You got some pretty mad graphic skillz. ;)
