I was previously using my Xampp server on Windows 8 before i changed to Windows 7.

When i tried installing Xampp on my Windows 7, i got the alert on the screenshot attached below.

After the installation when i try starting the Apache i got " The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer"

I have granted permission to the Xampp server from my firewall but still not functioning.

Is the problem from my windows installation?

Please help.

Troubleshooting this could wind up being more difficult than learning to use vagrant, virtual box, and linux for your development server in windows.

The error says you should not install it in C:\Program Files. Did you install in there or in C:\xampp ?
